Tuna Relief Fund

Fellow IFD 14's Brother, Miguel "TUNA" Udan of Ladder 14 A shift, was struck hard by the storms and floods south of Indy at his residence near Martinsville, In last week.  Flood waters completely took everything from our fellow brother and he and his family are in need of assistance.  His mother was also flooded out who lives close to Tuna, also losing everything.  As of right now they are trying to save what they can to start a rebuild, but it will take donations and fund raising to make it all happen.  Tuna nd his family are safe and trying to stay in good spirits, considering there task at hand.  Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.

A Credit union account is going to be set up soon for anyone to make donations to the Tuna Flood Relief Fund.  A Fund Raiser Gathering will  take place at the Firefighters Union Hall on September 12th starting at 6pm.  Tickets can be bought at the door, everyone welcome!  Food, Fun, Brew and for a great cause!  Call 317-924-9415 for more information.

Indiana Department Wide Alert!!

There was an imposter attempting to ride out on Wishard Ambulance that is a convicted child molester.  He mis-represented himself to the ambulance crew at station #31, and rode on the ambulance during an emergency run. (The run came in as soon as he arrived; he answered the ambulance crews questions correctly, so they invited him on board.)

During the course of the run, he panicked when asked to complete simple tasks, and he ran away leaving his car at the station. Upon the ambulance return to the station (#31) IMPD was called, the Wishard supervisor arrived, and IFD personnel investigated and found a traffic ticket in his vehicle, which was researched to identify his history.  He was called back to the scene, and informed never to set foot on IFD property, not to call IFD stations, not to make any contact with Wishard Ambulance service. He was questioned and warned by IMPD of possible consequences if this was to ever happen again. His only defense was…”I know that this was wrong, but all I wanted to ever be is an EMT.”

Please alert all of the stations about this individual in your own way, amd call the Police if he attempts to ride out.
